CLEVELAND, Ohio, Jan. 6 , 4:22 a.m.–An Alberta Clipper brings snow to central Ohio this morning, and heavy Lake Effect Snow is expected in the Snow Belt tonight through Wednesday night. The advisory includes Ashland, Crawford, Knox, Marion, Morrow, and Richland counties

According to the National Weather Service in Cleveland, snow will continue across the region through the morning with 4-5 inches total accumulation possible near and south of state Route 30.

Heavy Lake Effect Snow will develop along the shoreline tonight and will shift inland with the passage of a cold front. Snow on Wednesday may be enhanced as upstream moisture from Lake Huron moves over Lake Erie into extreme northeast Ohio and northwest Pennsylvania. Brisk northwest winds will contribute to blowing and drifting of snow.

Bitterly cold wind chills are expected Tuesday night through Wednesday night with wind chills of minus 5 to minus 20 possible.
