Loaded with irreverent quips in regard to aging, political correctness, and daily life, Judy Weyhmeller’s sharp wit matched that of her favorite comic character, Maxine. Full of life and eager to share “her opinion”, Judy was able to find humor and comedy in almost any situation. Using code words to express her sarcasm, Judy’s family knew her fun personality was definitely one of a kind.
On Sunday, January 4, 2015 Judy Weyhmeller, of Butler, passed away in Hospice House in Ashland surrounded by her loving family. She was 67.
The daughter of Joseph and Mary (Teets) Moran, Judy was born August 20, 1947. As a young girl her family moved to Bellville where she graduated from Clear Fork High School. That is where she met her future husband Robert Weyhmeller. On December 12, 1964 the two were married. Together they spent 43 years growing together, raising their children and creating lasting memories.
Hard working, Judy worked for Mohican Manufacturing, L&K Restaurant and retired from Century Link after 25 years.
Focused and committed on her next big project, Judy was always learning something new. Honing her pottery skills, perfecting the brush strokes on her landscape painting, or knitting and crocheting for her family, Judy’s eye was on her next hobby.
She loved her family and was a committed wife, mom and grandma. Judy served as pack-mom through the Boy Scouts and was a huge Clear Fork Colts fan, especially when it came to rooting for her kids and grandkids.
A loyal personality, to Judy, once a friend always a friend…as long as you remained on her good side. She loved and supported her family leaving a lifetime of hilarious memories for her family to cherish and share.
She is survived by son Mark (Stacey) Weyhmeller of Bellville, daughter Jamie (Chris) Bogner of Mansfield, grandchildren Whitney Cromer, James Weyhmeller, Chelsie Wilcox and their spouses, as well as grandchildren Austin, Jared, and Leah; great grandchildren Tristan, Marlee, and Tyco; special aunt Sylvia Moran, and special cousins Chuck, Dave, and Gary Moran and their spouses.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert “Buck” Weyhmeller, son Brian Weyhmeller, brothers Jim, Robert, and Larry Moran; special pet West Highland Terrier-Spunky.
Graveside services will be Friday, January 9, 2015 at 1 pm in Bellville Cemetery. Pastor Adam Irwin will officiate.
The Bellville Snyder Funeral is honored to assist the Weyhmeller family with funeral services.
