Barbara Welsh was extremely intelligent and had the gift of understanding logically complex ideas. Her mind could work out a solution to even the toughest problem. She will be remembered as a brilliant woman.
Barbara Lee Welsh, age 73, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2015 in her Mansfield home surrounded by family.
She was born November 1, 1941 in Columbus and was raised in Mansfield. Barbara was graduated from Mansfield Senior High School in 1959 and attended Kent State University.
On March 28, 1963 she married Byrtle Welsh and together they spent 51 wonderful years.
In spare time, she taught herself how to golf and enjoyed a good game of bowling. But above all, she cherished time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving husband Byrtle Welsh of Mansfield; daughter and son-in-law Michele & John Price of Hamilton; granddaughters Megan and Shelby Price; siblings Mark Balyeat and Becky Walker of Columbus.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Jim Balyeat.
Graveside services in Mansfield Cemetery will be held at a later date.
