Patricia Schneider

Patricia Louise “Patti” (Pohl) Schneider peacefully passed away in her Lexington home Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2014 surrounded by family after a courageous fight with cancer. She was 52.

She was born Oct. 19, 1962 to parents Kenneth & Ruth (Armstrong) Pohl in Geneva. Patti was graduated from Lexington High School with the class of 1981. On Aug. 31, 1985, she married Christopher Schneider. They had almost 23 wonderful years together until he passed away July 13, 2008 following his own battle with cancer. They are together again.

Patti was a legal secretary for attorneys Steve Cockley & Jim TyTree where she worked for over two decades and took pride in her work. She was content to spend an entire day on her own. Her caring heart was well known to her friends and family, but in an age of over-sharing Patti’s demeanor was humble and quiet.

In spare time, she enjoyed taking long drives down country roads, hunting for antiques, and staying up late to play computer games. But above all, Patti cherished her dog Kirby and cat Samantha. She loved anything considered Classic Americana and Disney.

With her husband, Patti enjoyed being a member of the Mansfield Sailing Club.

She is survived by her daughter Ashlea Schneider of Lexington; her parents Kenneth & Ruth Pohl of Mansfield; a sister Cynthia (Doug) Bower of Mexico; an uncle John (Peggy) Armstrong of Ottawa, KS; in-laws Dan & Barbara Schneider, and Judy Schneider all of Mansfield; and longtime friends David & Sandy Homer of Lexington.

Patti was preceded in death by her first husband Charles R. Crosby; and her second husband Chris Schneider.

A memorial service honoring her life will be held noon Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2014 in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home. Rev. Faith Proietti will officiate and friends are invited to call beginning at 10 a.m.

A true animal lover, contributions in Patti’s memory to the Richland County Humane Society may be made at the funeral home.

Snyder Funeral Homes is honored to serve Patti’s family and encourage you to share a fond memory or message of condolence to them at SnyderFuneralHomes.com.
