Edith M. Morris, 94, of Galion, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014 at Mill Creek Nursing And Rehab, Galion.
Edith was born in Bucyrus on Dec. 22, 1919 to the late Emanual W. and Mary E. (Brown) Miller. She married John K. Morris on December 24, 1936 and he preceded her in death on Oct. 19, 1991.
She was a homemaker and had been employed by the Galion School District as a cook. Edith had a strong relationship with the Lord. Forgiving everyone, she had no enemies. She was proud of her children and grandchildren. Her family was her biggest joy.
She is survived by her son Doug and Joyce Morris of Galion, her eight grandchildren Rick Carpenter, Frieda Johns, Sondra Reece, Kaye Kempf, Angie Fruth, Richard Reece, Tim Morris, and Christy Foti, her fifteen great-grandchildren, her six great-great grandchildren, her brother Harold & Barb Miller, Bucyrus and her sister Susan & Dick Johnson, Galion.
She was preceded in death by her daughters Diane Carpenter, and Judy Reece, her brothers Virgil Miller, Edward Miller, and Dwight Miller and her sisters Goldie Stitzel, Isabell Campo and Frances Sanders.
Friends may call Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014 from 5-8 p.m. at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, 303 Portland Way North, Galion. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 19 at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, Galion, with Rev. Joe Stafford officiating. Burial will follow in Crawford County Memory Gardens, Crestline.
