Fredric E. Holt, 77, of Mansfield, died Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at OhioHealth MedCentral Mansfield. Born March 19, 1937 in Lewis County, KY, he was the son of William and Myrtle (Hardymon) Holt. A veteran of the US Marine Corps, Fredric retired from Crane Plumbing in 1999 after 39 1/2 years spending half of his time in production and the other half as a production supervisor. After retirement, he worked part time at Mifflin Care. Fredric became a Christian late in life and loved going to church, always making sure he was there early. When he was able, he enjoyed fishing, gardening, and working around his home and yard. Fredric loved his family and was very proud of them.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; son, Michael, daughter, Donna; granddaughters, Allison and Catrina; brother, Ronald; sister, Patricia; sister-in-law, Mary Breeze; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William.
Friends may call Friday, December 12, 2014 from 5-7 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd., Ontario. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home conducted by Minister Dean Jackson. Military graveside services conducted by the Richland County Joint Veterans Burial Squad will follow in Windsor Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to McElroy Rd.
