Main Street Books is pleased to announce the return of the Ohio Writer Signing Series this December. On Saturday, Dec. 6 and Saturday, Dec. 13 from 1-3 p.m. Main Street Books will host several Ohio authors who will sell and sign their books.

On Dec. 6 the shop will host Scott Fields, Adam Doc Fox, and Dennis Hetzel.

Scott Fields has written numerous novels, one of which, “The Mansfield Killings,” was Main Street Books’ bestseller of 2012. His newest novel, “A Killing in a Small Town,” is about the murder of a notable man from a small town and repercussions that rock the village.

Adam Doc Fox’s book, “Grief Species,” is composed by many vignettes of flash fiction. The main character is a newspaper man who is forced to confront immigration identity, the American career path and modern sexism.

Dennis Hetzel’s book, “Killing the Curse,” is about The Chicago Cubs, who haven’t won a World Series for more than 100 years. Now they’re positioned to win the Series for the first time since 1908 — if only curses and bad luck don’t haunt them as usual. The Cubs have someone else on their side — a brilliant, crazed fan who will do anything to make sure they win.

On Dec. 13, the shop will host Mary Eileen Levison and Joe James.

Levison has written several books about Mansfield and Ohio including:  “The Corner of Fifth and Walnut” on the iconic house there in Mansfield; “Ohio was Their Home” about the Native Americans of Ohio; and “Movers, Shakers, and Music Makers,” a new book that is a tribute to the entrepreneurs, workers, and artists who made Mansfield the special place it is today.

Joe James is the author of two books, “The Ohio State Reformatory: an Overview” about the old prison and “Louis Bromfield and his Malabar Farm.”

All their books will be available for purchase and autographing. Contact Llalan Fowler, bookstore manager, with any questions.
