Joseph M. Britt, 50, of Galion died Saturday, November 29, 2014 at home after an extended illness.
Born June 19, 1964, in Galion, he was the son of Michael A. and Ruth E. (Crane) Britt of Galion.
Joe was a graduate of Galion High School and worked as a self-employed carpenter and enjoyed working with wood and building things. He was an avid Cleveland Indians and Browns fan and loved classic rock, especially the Beatles.
In addition to his parents he is survived by three children, Joseph Chung of Colorado Springs, Co., Patricia “Trissy” Britt of Cincinnati and Theodore “Ted” Britt of Galion; two grandchildren, Myles and Joel Britt of Bucyrus; siblings, Christopher Britt of Galion, Brian Britt of Galion, Michael (Francisco De La Rosa) Britt of Columbus and a brother-in-law, Arnie Reynolds of Galion.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Lisa Reynolds.
A Memorial Mass will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, December 6, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galion, 135 N. Liberty Street, Galion, Ohio 44833, with Father John Miller officiating.
