Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home

Christina S. Earl, 51, of Crestline, died Monday, December 1, 2014 at OhioHealth MedCentral Mansfield Hospital, Mansfield, after battling long term illnesses.

Chris was born in Crestline on May 8, 1963 to her parents Stanley and Catherine M. (Horning) Cowan and June (Butler) and Franklin E. Justice. She married Melvin C. Earl on March 12, 1982, and he survives her. 

Chris lived most of her life in the area. She was a part of the Apostolic Faith Assembly in Mansfield. She was also a Sunday School Teacher at the Christian Life Center in Mansfield. Chris was a graduate of Crestline High School, Class of 1981. She received an Associates Degree from North Central Technical College, Mansfield. Chris retired in 2014 as the Director of the Crestline Assistance Ministries Program (C.A.M.P.) for twelve years. As Director of C.A.M.P. she was an advocate for people in need. The program grew under her direction, helping more people and providing more programs to the public. She had a servant’s heart. Chris was proud of her family. She enjoyed crocheting and would make afghans to give to people. 

She is survived by her two daughters and son; Anelisa Earl, Crestline, Amanda and Dominic Stinehour, Mansfield, Anthony and Katricia Earl, Crestline; her six grandchildren; Shelie, Wesley, Frankie, Damon, Savannah, and Daniel “D.C.”, her two brothers; Douglas and Tammy Cowan, Sacramento, CA, Michael and Lisa Justice, Perrysburg. 

She was preceded in death by her sister, Tamara Lumpkins, and her son-in-law, Carl Dunaway, Jr.

Friends may call Friday, December 5, 2014 after noon until the time of service at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, 223 West Main St., Crestline, OH 44827. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, Crestline, with Pastor Mark Meyer officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Crestline.
