Dorothy A. (Hardin) Banks, 47, of Mansfield, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2014, following a brief illness.
Dorothy was born on January 3, 1967, in Mansfield, to William C. and Betty I. (Nixon) Hardin. She had many interests, including camping, and playing internet games, however the most important part of her life was spending it with her children and grandchildren, and she was very proud of them.
Dorothy is survived by her mother, Betty Hardin of Mansfield; her soul mate, Charles Price, Mansfield; seven children, Michael (Hope) Montanez, Nikki Abbott and her significant other, Nick Southerland, Glendon Mount, Ashley Banks, Brian Banks, Blake (Bethany) Banks, and Chaz Price, all of Mansfield; nine grandchildren, and one on the way; five brothers, Curtis (Brenda) Nixon, Ronnie (Barb) Hardin, Bobby Hardin, Ernest (Kathy) Tangalakis, and Michael Hardin; three sisters, Betty Jean Perez, Diane Coulter, and Debra (Theodric) Pointer; and several nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her father and one brother, Rick Hardin.
Calling hours will be from noon to 1 p.m. on Thursday December 4, 2014 at Diamond Hill Cathedral, 500 Tingley Ave, Mansfield. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Mel Schroeder officiating. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery. Werner Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, 1106 Park Ave. East, is handling the arrangements.
