Debra Sue Vance Yanders, 56, of Mansfield, died Friday, Nov. 28, 2014 at Hospice of North Central Ohio in Ashland. She was born in Mansfield, Ohio, on March 16, 1958, to the late Ella Mae (Murphy) and George Alvin Vance, Jr. .

She started her working career at Ideal Electric before becoming a certified phlebotomist. Debra loved her work in home health care and was perfectly suited to a career of giving to others. She was always the life of the party, quick witted and possessing a wonderful sense of humor, she never knew a stranger.

She adored her husband and they both enjoyed taking care of one another. She loved her family and her three sons were her pride and joy. Debra was very proud of their accomplishments. Her dog, Brutus, gave her great joy.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, Richard Yanders; three sons, Shane Edward (Sandy) Kitts, Chad William Kitts and Jason Alvin Kitts; three grandchildren, Justyne Kitts, Chad Kitts, Jr. and Skyler Kitts; three brothers, Dr. Joseph Paul (Tamara) Vance, Michael (Laura) Vance and John Vance; nieces and nephews, Joseph Vance, Michael Vance, Nathan Vance, Jareth Vance, Jory Vance, Jillian Kline, Haley Vance, George Vance IV, Garrett Vance; aunts and uncles, Robert S. (Dolores) Vance, Malcolm (June) Murphy, Gladys Hicks, Lillian Vance, Elizabeth Murphy and Phyllis (Bob) McKee; and numerous cousins. In addition to his parents, she was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, George Alvin III and Nicole Sue Woodruff Vance; a sister-in-law, Christine Crupper; and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at 3 p.m. in the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. Her brother, Dr. Joseph Vance will conduct the service. The family will receive friends beginning at 2 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
