Dennis D. Leonard, 68, of Galion, formerly of Columbus, died Monday, June 23, 2014 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.
Born in Columbus, September 10, 1945, he was the son of Franklin Leonard and Elizabeth (Casey) Leonard. He married Barbara R. (Vance) Leonard November 18, 1989 and she survives.
Dennis was a graduate of Rosary High School in Columbus in 1963 and was a United States Air Force Veteran of Vietnam. Moving to Galion from Columbus in January 2014, he has been employed as a salesman at Craig Smith Auto Group in Galion the last two months.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by step-children, Greg (Heather) Lust of Mt. Vernon and Krista Lust of Columbus.; grandchildren, Aric Lust and Ashlyn Lust; his sister, Mary Ann Leonard of Columbus and mother-in-law, Geraldine Vance of Galion.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jack Leonard.
Private services will be held for the family. Interment will be in Iberia Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association in care of Snyder Funeral Home Richardson Davis Chapel, 218 S. Market Street, Galion, Ohio 44833.
