Richland County has thrived as a result of its ability to manage services and manufacture goods and sell them to global markets. But, in the past decade we’ve witnessed a rapid change to our regional economy, leaving many people here in Richland County hurting. Getting through this tough economy will not be easy. However, by having people with a strong vision in office leading the way, our region will move forward.

I’ve spent months listening to thousands of people from Richland County: individuals, families, community leaders, and business owners. The people are talking loud and clear, they want opportunity and growth that can also provide security for their future. I’m prepared to answer the call of the Community in a unified and organized way.

We can do more with someone in office at the state-level who is committed to addressing issues of unemployment, labor rights, education, workforce and career development, and services for the elderly, just to name a few. In-fact, my campaign for State-Representative is all about the people of Richland County and ensuring they have a fair chance to make a decent living and earn a sustainable quality of life for themselves and their families.

My vision for the Richland Community is to Attract, Train & Keep: working together as a united front to attract new opportunities, as well as building upon initiatives already in place.

This vision focuses on collaboration between four of the most powerful communities in our region: the Academic, Business, Civic and Government Communities. This cross-sector collaboration would bridge Richland County towards the 21st Century growth people finally deserve.

Richland County is my home Community and I have local, state and federal government experience. I’m ready to work with the people and communities throughout our district to grow new opportunities. Join my campaign and let’s move forward together.

Don Bryant, Candidate for State-Representative, District 2 (Richland County)
