One of the world’s most beloved musicals, “Peter Pan,” is coming to the Renaissance Theatre this summer as the 2014 Renaissance Summer Musical.
Based on the classic J.M. Barrie story, and with a magical score by Jule Styne, (Gypsy), Betty Comden and Adoph Green, (Singing in the Rain), audiences will sit spellbound as the performers literally soar into the air.
Directed by Renaissance Artistic Director, Michael Thomas, performances begin Friday, August 1 at 8 p.m. and continue Saturday, August 2 at 8 p.m., Friday, August 8 and Saturday, August 9 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, August 10 at 3 p.m.
The previously announced summer production of “The Addams Family” has been postponed until a later date, due to licensing issues.
Auditions for “Peter Pan” will be held at the Renaissance Theatre, Tuesday and Wednesday, May 27 and 28 from 6-8 p.m. and are open to performers of all ages. Please prepare 32 bars of a musical theatre song and be prepared to read from the script.
