Soccer balls were flying, feet were racing, and brains were learning.
The Mansfield Liederkranz Soccer Club has a new addition, the Kinder Kicker Program. The focus of this program is teaching fundamentals to children 4-6 years of age. The program uses fun, age-appropriate, engaging games to teach soccer basics to these youngsters.
The young players were having a great time and had no idea that they were learning—they were just having fun.
The sessions run an hour each and also include foot skills practice and a small-sided scrimmage at the end. The sessions are held on Sundays from 3-4pm on April 6, 13, 27 and May 4, 11 and 18.
The cost is $35 and includes a T-shirt. The program is gearing up for a banquet and trophy presentation at the final session.
