The Richland County Foundation awarded $25,824 to 17 local nonprofit organizations for Summertime Kids programs. Grants of up to $2,500 support creative, educational and fun-filled summer activities for hundreds of Richland County children each year.

The following grants that were approved include Village of Bellville’s Bellville Safety Town; Big Brothers/Big Sisters’ Bigs and Littles Summer Picnic; Domestic Violence Shelter’s Summertime Fun; First English Lutheran Christian Day School’s Summer Camp; First Lutheran ABC Learning Center’s Summer Wonder Day Camp; Friendly House Association’s Summer Fun Program; Great Lakes Conf. of Churches/Otyokwah’s Day Camp; Harmony House Homeless Services, Inc.’s Kids Vacation; Hospice of North Central Ohio’s KIDSCENE; Mansfield Area YMCA’s Operation Imagination; Mansfield City Park Department’s Hooked on Fishing; Ohio Bird Sanctuary’s Nature Camp; Raemelton Therapeutic Equestrian Ct.’s Abilities Rising Camp; Renaissance Performing Arts’ Camp Broadway; RC Board Developmental Disabilities’ Summer Campership; The Salvation Army’s Summer Zone; Shelby Green Committee ‘s Shelby Shares Science.
