On Friday, Feb. 21, members of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF), Richland County Court Services- Adult Probation Department and the METRICH Enforcement Unit were at 555 N.Trimble Rd (Motel 6) in an attempt to locate Jamel Witcher who was wanted on a probation violation warrant.

Two females from Detroit, MI and Jamel Witcher were located in room #427. Witcher was arrested on the warrant without incident. During a search of the room officers located 115 grams of suspected heroin, with a street value of $18,400, folded up in a towel in the bathroom. Cash in the amount of $679 was found in the possession of one of the females, Liletha Poe, and was seized as it was believed to be the result of illegal activity.

Jamel Witcher was arrested for felony probation violation and possession of drugs.

Liletha Poe and Adrian Tubbs were arrested for possession of drugs. All three individuals were incarcerated at the Richland County Jail pending appearance in court. Further charges may be pending upon review of the Richland County Prosecutor’s Office.
