The Lexington Minutemen hosted the Orville Red Riders in boys varsity basketball on Friday. The Minutemen got one last season win for their home crowd winning, 50-42.

The first half was a back and forth battle that ended in a 29-29 point tie at the break.

Lexington came out of the locker room and separated. The home team went up 40-23 going into the fourth. In the fourth, the Minutemen extend their lead to 50-35 before finishing 50-42.

Joey Zahn led Lexington with 13 points. Matt Barkett followed with 11 points.

With 12 points, Trevor Summers was the only Red Rider to reach double digits.

Lexington won the junior varsity matchup 46-43.

Up next, the Minutemen will face OCC rival Clear Fork in sectional semi-final play at Bucyrus on Tuesday.
