Goodwill serving Summit, Portage, Medina, Ashland and Richland Counties has partnered with Marvin Memorial Library to offer free job search classes. The classes will cover identifying skills, job search tips, resume writing, interview skills and other soft skills. The first session is already underway but still open for participation and another one begins in March.

“We are offering the Job Sense classes free as a community service; and participants can join at any time during the sessions,” said Kelley Bush, director of mission services, Goodwill serving Summit, Portage, Medina, Ashland and Richland Counties.

“Goodwill understands having a job creates the economic energy that builds strong families and communities as well as builds self-confidence. These classes are a part of our mission to help individuals prepare for, find and retain employment.”

Job Sense Class Details

The free classes are offered Feb. 5, 12, 19 and begin again in March. Classes are held at the  Marvin Memorial Library, 29 West Whitney Avenue, Shelby from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.

Mission Services

In Ashland and Richland Counties, Goodwill provides the following services: job training, vocational evaluations, situational assessments, work experience programs, job coaching as well as placement services for both job seekers and employers.
