Winter weather message
The National Weather Service in Cleveland issued a winter weather message at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 29 advising that a Wind Chill Advisory is in effect until 9 a.m. on Thursday.
Wind Chill readings will dip to -10 to -15 degrees overnight with southwest winds from 10 to 15 mph. Overnight temperatures will dip to zero to around 5 above.
A Wind Chill Advisory is issued for cold temperatures and winds, with wind chill temperatures computed to be -25 degrees or less for at least 3 hours. Exposure to this combination of strong winds and low temperatures without protective clothing can lead to frostbite and/or hypothermia; prolonged exposure may be fatal.
