On Wednesday, September 11, the Richland County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Impact Team (VCIT), Richland County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Bureau and The Alcohol, Tobacco, Explosives & Firearms (ATF) executed two search warrants, one at the 400 block of Wayne Street and one at the 900 block of Hanna Road, both Mansfield addresses.
The search warrants were the result of a one month investigation by VCIT members Deputy Stacy Dittrich, Deputy Robert Caltrider, Deputy Amber Smith, Ashland County Sheriff’s Office and the Bureau of ATF. The investigation targeted known drug traffickers and armed drug traffickers.
The search at the 900 block of Hanna Road address resulted in the seizure of $473 cash, heroin and drug paraphernalia.
The search at the 400 block of Wayne Street address resulted in the seizure of $1,700 cash, crack cocaine, powder cocaine, heroin, marijuana and the ammunition to a 357 Magnum firearm.
The search warrants resulted in the arrest of four persons. Darius C. Marshall, a black male, 25, was charged with Possession of Drugs, a third degree felony, and Failure to Appear Warrant-Mansfield. Weston J. Cordle, Jr., a white male, 20, was charged with a third degree felony Possession of Drugs. Dalton D Lykins, a white male, 22, was charged with a fifth degree felony Possession of Drugs. And Sheldon S. Holbrook, a white male, 20 years old, was charged with a fifth degree felony Possession of Drugs.
The investigation is ongoing and the Richland County Sheriff’s Office expects additional arrests. Richland County Sheriff J. Steve Sheldon would like to commend the persistence and dedication by the investigators involved in identifying and apprehending those involved in drug trafficking and the pursuit of those committing violent crimes in Richland County.
