GloryWay to perform ‘Spirit of Christmas’ concert at Shelby church

GloryWay will present its “Spirit of Christmas” concert at Shelby’s First Lutheran Church on Dec. 21 at 6 p.m.

Volunteer cooks are needed that day beginning at 8 a.m. to help prepare the meal, along with servers and those willing to help clean up.

Food donations being sought include anything that can sit on a shelf — items like canned goods, noodles, boxed meals, cake mixes and more.

South of Mason brings audiences to their feet with country favorites while stirring hearts with the timeless message of gospel music.

On Sun., Sept. 7 at 6 p.m., Mansfield’s southern gospel group, GloryWay, will appear live and in concert at First Lutheran Church in Shelby.

Free school supplies will be distributed, including backpacks, calculators, earbuds, crayons, markers, glue, pencils, folders and binders.

A ham dinner is set for Tuesday, April 22, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the church social hall in downtown Shelby.

A spaghetti fundraiser is set for Sunday at 11:30 a.m. Food can be enjoyed at the church or taken to-go. Donations are welcomed.

First Lutheran Church Shelby has planned an ice cream social, Aug. 11, and back to school carnival, Aug. 14.

The event will take place on Sunday, January 21, at approximately 11 a.m., following the First Lutheran Church worship service.
