GALION — The sky is the limit for Crestline, at least as far as coach Trevor Shade is concerned.
The Bulldogs placed five runners in the top 10 and coasted to the team title in the girls Division IV race at Saturday’s Galion district cross country meet at Amman Reservoir Park.
“It’s really led by the senior girls,” Shade said. “It’s something that, when they were eighth-graders and freshmen, we hoped and envisioned down the road.
“To see it come to fruition is a special moment.”
The Bulldogs were led by senior twins Nevaeh and Addison Hill. Nevaeh finished third overall in 20 minutes, 18.7 seconds while Addison was fourth in 20:19.8.
Jocelyn Noblit (20:54.6) finished sixth, while Addysen Giesige (21:30.3) was eighth. Lillian Mills (22:26.7) rounded out the scoring in 18th.
Crestline finished with a score of 36. Edison (49) was second.

Plymouth was 12th with a score of 347. Anna Caughenbaugh topped the Big Red, placing 68th (26:11.1).
In Division IV boys action, Crestview won the district team trophy with a score of 58.
Isaac McFarland led the Cougars with a personal-record 16:42.8, good for third place overall.
“It’s been a hard season,” McFarland said. “I had a great first race, but then got hurt the very next race and was out for two weeks and when I came back my legs just didn’t feel right.
“I was fatigued, so the races leading up to this one, I’ve just been trying to get back in the swing of things.”
Isaac Smith backed McFarland, finishing seventh in 17:26.3. Logan Robinson (17:49.1) was 13th, followed by Easton Smith (18:18.7) in 18th and Brant Leidigh in 19th (18:19.3).
