ASHLAND — Local jazz fans should clear their calendars for Feb. 2.
That evening at 7 p.m., the Big Bands & All That Jazz Society will host a concert by Cleveland Jazz Orchestra trumpeter Jack Schantz and his octet, the Jazz Unit.
Joining the octet for this performance will be featured vocalist Barbara Rosene.
Jack Schantz, a longtime musician in the Cleveland area and current jazz ensemble director at Ashland University, leads this fine ensemble of musicians for our 38th season of great jazz in Ashland at the King Road Christian Church at 1425 King Road.
This concert is free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted at the door.
