WYANDOT COUNTY — A 29-year-old Millbury, Ohio, man died in a two-vehicle accident on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Bucyrus Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at 2:03 p.m. on U.S. 23 in Wyandot County, according to troopers, resulting in the death of Jacob T. Belsky, who was driving a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
The patrol said Temya Brown, 46, of Southfield, Mich., was northbound on U.S. 23 and slowed for traffic ahead while driving a 2020 Freightliner Cascadia, which was towing a 2021 Great Dane Van trailer.
Troopers said Belsky was traveling behind Ms. Brown and failed to maintain an assured clear distance ahead, colliding with the the rear end of the van trailer.
Belsky was pronounced deceased at the scene, according to the patrol.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted by the Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office, Wyandot County EMS, Upper Sandusky Fire Department, and Liverpool Towing.
The crash remains under investigation, according to the patrol.
