Linda D. Fenton, 67, of Mansfield, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2016, at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital after a brief, hard-fought battle with cancer.
She was born Oct. 31, 1948, in Mansfield, Ohio, to the late Orenal and Betty (Kissell) Quicksall Brown.
Linda graduated from Madison High School. She was employed as a food packager with Simply EZ Meals for 15 years, and all the people she worked with loved her and considered her their friend.
She was very outspoken and straight forward, you knew what she was thinking and she wasn’t afraid to stand up for her beliefs. Linda was devoted to her best friends, daughters Missy and Rhonda, and was known as everyone’s “Mama.”
She was loved by all who knew her and her energy and passion were contagious. Linda’s greatest relaxation and happiness came from being with her family creating many special memories.
She had an inquisitive mind and was a big fan of investigative shows such as “Law and Order” and “Forensic Files.” Linda enjoyed listening to the police scanner to keep informed of everything around her.
Linda is survived by two daughters, Missy (Bruce) Smith and Rhonda (Mike) Lomax; five grandchildren, Cody (Jessica) Fenton, Kayla Smith, Mitchell Lamp, Nicholas Lamp (Kate Fyffe) and Brittany Lomax; two great-grandchildren, Abbigail Lamp and Nicholas Avery Lamp; a brother, Ronald Quicksall; and best friend, Mary Cowell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three siblings, Marvin Brown, Robert Quicksall, and Terry Quicksall; a grandson, Frank Lamp III; and the father of her children, Richard Fenton.
