Michael William Stebleton

Michael William Stebleton, 67, of Mansfield, Ohio passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2016.

He was born in Union City, Indiana to Donald Ray and Marilyn (Bunker) Stebleton on Sept. 17, 1948.

Mike graduated from Union City Community High School. He liked classic cars and model railroading and was a member of the Mansfield Model Railroad Club. Mike had a unique sense of humor, and enjoyed teasing. He loved his family and was a very hard-working man. Mike was an electronics technician at Honeywell and retired from MT Business Technologies.

Michael was never one for the limelight. He was a fan of sports, especially the Braves and the Browns. Mike served in the Navy for three years during the Vietnam War.

Mike is survived by his wife, Caryl (Meek) Stebleton; his mother, Marilyn (Bunker) Stebleton, of Indiana; his daughter, Jennifer Fetters; grandson, Cooper Michael VanHorn; sisters, Vicki (Richard) Seymour and Beth (Steve) Fosler; eight nieces and nephews;15 great nieces and nephews; two great great nephews, and sisters-in-law, Sharon (Jim) Carpenter and Shelia Campbell.

Mike was preceded in death by his grandchildren, Caleb Michael Fetters and Kayla Marie Fetters; his father; maternal grandparents and paternal grandparents.

A gathering will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington Springmill Rd., Ontario. A memorial service, officiated by Pastor Steven Hodges; will follow at 2 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, Veteran Homes, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
