MANSFIELD – The North End Community Improvement Collaborative and the ROAR mentoring program are partnering with the Ohio Air National Guard in hosting a field trip for 50 Mansfield City Schools 7th, 8th, and 9th graders to tour the 179th Airlift Wing on July 27.
“This is a great opportunity for those students who are interested in or even just considering a military career,” said NECIC and ROAR Program Coordinator Diane Ottolenghi. “In addition to the tour, the students will learn about the many different career opportunities available with the Ohio Air National Guard”
“We will be scheduling another trip for 50 of the MCS 10th-12th graders in the very near future,” she added.
Transportation is provided, with busses departing Mansfield Senior High at 8:30 a.m. sharp. Students will return to Senior High at 11:15 a.m. The field trip is free, with funding provided through the Community Connectors ROAR program.
