MANSFIELD — The Humane Society of Richland County will host its third annual Dogs Donuts and Drinks .5k Walk on Saturday, Oct. 12 at 10:30 a.m.
The event will take place in The Phoenix Brewing Company, located at 131 N. Diamond Street in downtown Mansfield.
“This is such a fun event! We’ve had such amazing feedback from last year’s attendees and we absolutely love spending time with our supporters. We also really love this partnership with The Phoenix Brewing Company,” said Managing Director Linda Chambers.
“The walk is a .5k, meaning it’s a very easy walk around the block, followed by a beer (root beer option available), a donut, and some really great raffle prizes.
“We also really encourage the public to bring their well behaved four-legged family members to join us.” A dog blessing will take place prior to the walk. Zoom and Groom mobile pet grooming will also be present, providing dog nail clips for donation.”
Board President Chris Kelly will DJ the event and announce raffle ticket winners.
“This is such an amazing event,” Kelly said. “While this is HSRC’s largest annual fundraiser, it’s also a great way for us to show gratitude to the community that supports us.
“The board of directors and staff love to meet the people who keep our organization funded. We are excited to watch this event continue to grow.”
Dogs Donuts and Drinks has sold out in its first two years, and pre-registration is encouraged.
Registration link is available at www.adoptourstrays.com and includes event t-shirt, beer, donut, dog bandana, gourmet dog treats, and raffle ticket.
The Humane Society of Richland County is a 501c3 non profit, and receives no government funding.
Their budget is supported entirely through the generosity of community donors.
