James “Jimmy” McNeal, 61, of Galion passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at home.
Born Aug. 13, 1954 in Galion, he was the son of the late Robert A. McNeal and Ruth (Kiamy) McNeal, of Galion.
He was a 1972 graduate of Galion High School. Jim enjoyed music, playing the piano and guitar and was in several local bands. He was an avid Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians fan.
In addition to his mother he is survived by sister Susan A. McNeal, of Carrollton, Texas; sister-in-law Shelley McNeal, of Galion and nieces Andrea Turner, of Columbus and Kristi McNeal, of Galion.
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by brother Robert A. McNeal Jr.
The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the First Presbyterian Church, 240 S. Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday with Rev. Julie Fogle officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association in care of the funeral home.
