Gaylen Marie Walker

Gaylen Marie Walker, 86, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016 in her home.

She was born Dec. 9, 1929 to parents Harley & Dessie (Mulberg) Goodwin in Morrow County. Gaylen graduated from Mansfield Senior High School.

On May 24, 1952, she married Thomas Walker. Gaylen worked at Stevens Manufacturing. Throughout her life, she attended Perrysville Baptist Church as well as Caesarea Baptist Church.

In spare time, Gaylen took pleasure in gardening. Above all, she cherished her grandchildren and was always a loving grandmother.

She is survived by her daughter Sheryl and David Kuelling, of Mansfield; grandsons Joshua & Alyssa Thomas-Kuelling of New York, Trenton Kuelling & his girlfriend Beth Oberting, of Columbus, Justin Kuelling, of Columbus; sisters Mary Kempton, of Bellville, and Lenora Hunter, of Mount Vernon; brother William Goodwin, of Sandusky; sister-in-law Betty Matulin, of Akron; brother-in-law Jack Walker, of Akron; friends Mary B. and Vicki Scott and numerous nieces nephews and extended family.

In addition to her husband Thomas Walker who proudly served in World War II, she was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Lottie Shaffer, Lola Gonzolas, Beulah Goodwin and Gertrude Goodwin.

The Walker family will receive friends Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home. A funeral service honoring Gaylen’s life will be held Friday, Jan. 15, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Ontario Community Cemetery.
