Timothy Joe Jones, 51, of Mansfield passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, Jan. 10, 2016.
He was born April 22, 1964 to Harley and Audrey Jones (Grassick).
Tim graduated from Ontario High School, class of 1982. He received training through Pioneer Joint Vocational on small engine repair. Tim owned and operated Jones Automotive, and recently owned and operated T&J Auto Solutions.
Tim had a big heart and loved caring for people. He was always there for everyone. He loved NASCAR racing, especially Dale Earnhardt Sr. Working on automobiles was his love, along with his rescue dog, “Little Man.”
Tim is survived by three sisters, Linda Jones, Patty Sims, and Cindy (Dan) Perry, all of Ontario; brother, Greg Letts, of Mansfield; several nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Kevin Perry; and several aunts and uncles, as well as cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his step-dad, Paul Grassick; and brother-in-law, Paul Jones Jr.
Calling hours will be on Jan. 13, 2016 from 4 to 6 p.m., with a memorial service to follow at 6 p.m., conducted by Rev. Bev Hall, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the family.
