Thomas Collins Sr.

Thomas M. Collins, Sr., 51, of Mansfield, died Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016 at his residence. Born Nov. 27, 1964 in Crestline, Ohio, he was the son of Clifford J. Collins, Sr. and Janet L. (Lee) Collins.

He was employed as a truck driver for OmniSource. He had a very friendly personality and enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and will be truly missed.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Sandy Collins; a son, Thomas M. Collins, Jr. (Megan) of Mansfield; two daughters, Kimberly (Justin) Gerich and Melissa (Kenny) Berkshire both of Mansfield; grandchildren, Chance, Kalleigh, Brooklynn, Brynnleigh, Thomas, III, Leyna, Mason and Makena; his father, Clifford Collins, Sr.; brothers, Jack (Stacie) Collins, Jr., Dennis “Buddy” Collins, Bill Collins and Bob (Liz) Collins; a sister, Jennifer Collins; and best friends, Bill and Sheri Ratliff.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Janet L. (Lee) Collins; his father-in-law, Earl Adams; and a nephew, Lance Corporal John Jeffries, III.

Friends may pay their respects from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2016 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2016 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Franklin Cemetery.
