Joyce Ann Johnson, 73, of Butler passed away Friday, Dec. 11, 2015 in the Ohio Eastern Star Home in Mount Vernon.

The daughter of Joseph and Mary Jane (Seeburger) Hallabrin, Joyce was born Feb. 8, 1942 in Mansfield. Joyce retired from Neer Manufacturing after working 33 years.

She loved reading, and spending time outdoors. Tender-hearted, Joyce had a soft spot for animals including her dog, Zoey.

She is survived by her son and his fiancée Britt Johnson and Megan Hanford, of Butler, as well as Megan’s daughter Emery; brother Greg Hallabrin, of Butler; nephew Craig Hallabrin and niece Lacey Hallabrin, both of Butler, and niece Christy Thompson, of Bellville; two great nephews and one great niece; special friend Sheila Counts.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Her family has chosen the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home for compassionate cremation services.

A memorial gathering, celebrating the life of Joyce Ann Johnson will be held Saturday, Dec. 19, 2015 at 1 p.m. in the Bellville Amvets Post #43, 76 Main Street, Bellville.
