Teresa Gay Stamper, 43, of Shelby died Saturday, Nov. 28, 2015, at her residence.

Born Feb. 13, 1972 in Shelby to Stanley W. Stamper & Zora Ellen (Kemplin) Hicks, she was a Shelby resident the majority of her life. Teresa was a 1990 graduate of Shelby High School and Pioneer Joint Vocational School and was employed at the City Financial Bank in Galion as a loan officer.

She attended Shelby Church of God and enjoyed playing bass guitar with the Rock Bottom Band. Teresa also enjoyed taking motorcycles rides, hiking and spending time with her family.

She is survived by one son, Lucas Potts and one daughter, Alivia Potts; her mother and step-father, Ellen (Jim) Hicks of Shelby; three sisters, Myrtle Hale of Plymouth, Sheila Swanger of Shelby and Peggy (Shaughn) Seward of Shelby; two brothers, Robert (Cindy) Stamper and Bobby J. (Crystal) Eldridge all of Shelby; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her father, Stanley W. Stamper.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Barkdull Funeral Home and Crematory in Shelby is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Barkdull Funeral Home, P.O. Box 644, Shelby, Ohio, 44875.
