MANSFIELD — Richland Source’s latest voting round from Open Source, our community-inspired story gathering method, has ended. And we have a winner.
Jesse Robinson’s question was the winner after a total of 469 votes gathered between April 15 and April 22.
Robinson asked, “Are there any plans for a commercial comeback of the West Park Shopping Center on Park Avenue?” It earned 179 votes.
The other two competing questions were:
• “What is happening on Millsboro Road between Lex Springmill and Home Roads?” This question received 156 votes.
• “What is that sign on top of Hanley Road hill on the right-hand side that looks like a buffalo head nickel, for lack of a better description?” This question earned 134 votes.
Now that the winning question has been determined, Richland Source reporter Noah Jones will begin to find out an answer to Robinson’s question in the coming days.
In the meantime, readers are encouraged to continue submitting questions through Open Source. Scroll down to submit a question, and yours could be answered next.
The newsroom will select some questions to answer immediately and put other up for a public vote again next month, where the most popular question will be answered.
