CLEVELAND — Hazardous weather is expected to hit north central Ohio late Friday night through Saturday evening, according to an advisory issued by the National Weather Service in Cleveland.

The forecast calls for a strong cold front to sweep across the area on Saturday.

Strong to damaging non-thunderstorm wind gusts will be possible along and behind the cold front Saturday late morning through Saturday late evening.

There is a slight risk for strong to severe thunderstorms late Friday night into Saturday morning.

The main severe thunderstorm threat will be damaging wind gusts but can’t rule out an isolated tornado threat.
