Robert, “Bob”, “Junior” McMillen age 86 of Galion, Ohio passed away on February 22, 2023 at Avita Hospital in Galion following a short illness. He was born on March 22, 1936 in Jerome Park, West Virginia the son of the late James and Lillian Marble Uphold McMillan. On March 13, 1957 he married Patty Tanner and together they shared 47 years of marriage. He enjoyed gold prospecting, loved his family, fishing and raising his dogs. He did not like to be the center of attention, but never met a stranger.
He is survived by his daughter, Deborah (Thomas) Payton; sons, Randy McMillen, Terry (Renee) McMillen and Steve McMillen. Lots of grandchildren, great grandchildren and his dogs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Patty, and daughter, Brenda Short.
A memorial service will be held on Monday February 27, 2023 at 4:00 PM at Ohio Cremation & Memorial Society, 9 Chambers Rd Mansfield, Ohio 44906. Rev. Rick Cox will officiate. Military honors will follow provided by the Richland County Joint Veterans Burial Squad. Family and friends may call one hour prior to the memorial service.
