Herman Mark Bogantz peacefully passed away Monday, June 1, 2015 in his Mansfield home following a brief illness. He was 57.
He was born May 17, 1958 in Mansfield to parents Herman Lewis & Anna M. (Knapp) Bogantz. After he was graduated from Lexington High School, he proudly served his country by joining the United States Marine Corps.
After earning a master’s degree in aeronautical science, he worked nearly twenty years for Airborne Express in Wilmington as an Avionics Safety Director.
Mark and his father were active in the Marine Corps League and he enjoyed cheering for the Cleveland Browns and OSU Football. He was a gifted woodworker and dabbled in animal and nature photography.
He is survived by a daughter Courtney Hinkle of Oregonia; a son Trent Bogantz of Oregonia; two grandchildren Haley Hinkle and Lucas Sholler; a sister Julie Navratil of Tampa, FL; a brother Bud & Cindy Bogantz of Lexington; and two nieces and a nephew Felicia Navratil, Malory Bogantz, and Michael Bogantz.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew Jesse Navratil.
Although no public service will be held in Mark’s memory, his family hopes that you will hold him in your heart as you remember him in your own special way.
