LOUDONVILLE, Ohio – The 12th International Wine at the Mill Fundraiser will take place June 6 from noon to 11 p.m. at Wolf Creek Mill.
This is the highlight event of the year to kick off the summer. All wines can be sampled and bought by the glass or bottle.
Mark Smith, Founder and President of Wolf Creek Mill says that they are excited about this year’s event. “We will have 100 varieties of international & Ohio wine, domestic beer, live music, food vendors, all beautifully situated on the banks of Pine Run Creek, large tents, raffles, prizes, free transportation,” Smith said.
Shuttles will run from Arrow Point Campground, Blackfork Inn B&B, Mohican Adventures, Mohican River Inn, Mohican State Park Campground, Smith’s Campground and Wally World Resort. One new stop this year will be in Central Park-Loudonville, by the public restrooms for those closer to downtown Loudonville.
Pre-Sale tickets can be purchased for $8 at Lingenfelter Jewelers in downtown Loudonville or on-line at WolfCreekMill.org. Tickets at the gate will be $10. Each adult ticket includes a logo wine glass and 10 tasting tickets.
The International Wine at the Mill Festival has moved the fundraiser to just down the road from the mill. As always, look for the banner and all proceeds go to the Friends of the Wolf Creek Grist Mill, a non-profit organization, to be used to continue the preservation efforts. “I think people would be amazed on what we started with years ago. The Mill was slated to be condemned,” states Smith. “If it weren’t for these events and the support of the visitors, the Mill simply would not be here.”
Wolf Creek Grist Mill now has over five cabins and a working mill available for all visitors to enjoy. This is in-line with the mission to preserve a vanishing part of heritage for future generations to enjoy and learn from. For more information visit WolfCreekMill.org.
