MANSFIELD: Bernadine C. Kallerson peacefully passed away on her 89th birthday, May 20, 2015 in Brookdale Sterling House in Mansfield surrounded by her family.
She was born May 20, 1926 to parents Narcis & Eva (Poquette) Thibeault in Gladstone, MI. On August 21, 1948 she married Ernest O. Kallerson and together they spent 43 wonderful years until he passed away in 1991. They are together again.
Bernadine worked at Mansfield General Hospital, where she worked for over 16 years until retiring in 1990. In spare time, she took pleasure in reading and sewing. But above all, Bernadine cherished time spent with friends and family (especially her grandchildren).
She was a faithful member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Mansfield.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law: Diane & Danny Finley of Mansfield, and Cheryl & Louie Breedlove of Ontario; nine grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren; a sister Lorraine Dugas of Royal Oak, MI; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In addition to her loving husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a son Terry Kallerson who passed away in 2007; and four siblings: Eva Carlson, Audrey Fix, Morris Thibeault, and Willard Thibeault.
Her family will receive friends 1-3 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2015 in the Marion Avenue Snyder Funeral Home beginning with a vigil service at 1 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, celebrated by the Rev. Father Gregory Hite. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
Contributions in her memory to St. Peter’s Catholic Church may be made at the funeral home.
