Billie Jean (Napier) Tridico, age 80, of Shelby, died Sunday, May 10, 2015 at the home of her daughter in Monroe, Ohio.

Billie Jean was a New Year’s baby being born on January 1, 1935 in Mingo County, Ragland, West Virginia to the late William K. and Thelma (Horn) Napier. She worked in the Claim Department at Shelby Insurance for twenty years. After retiring from Shelby Insurance, she worked at Family Meds and Schumacher’s in Shelby. Billie Jean was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in West Carrollton, Ohio. She enjoyed traveling, reading, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Billie Jean is survived by 3 children: Sharon (Ronnie) Lawson of Wayne, WV, Dan (Julie) Hensley of Shelby, Teresa (Grant) Mitchell of Monroe, OH; a son-in-law: Jim Artz of Shelby; 14 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; brothers: James Napier of Mansfield, George (Sharon Napier of New Haven, Bob Napier of Dillsboro, IN; a sister: Elizabeth Napier of Wayne, WV; a sister-in-law: Rose Napier of Kenova, WV. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her first husband: Ernest Hensley in 1969; her second husband: Frank Tridico in 2002; a daughter: Linda Artz in 2014; a grandson: Jermey Carey; 3 brothers: William Napier, Thomas Napier, and Johnnie Napier.

Family and friends are welcome on Monday, May 18, 2015 from 4:30-7:30 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Joseph Shihady officiating, Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven.
