Harold “Hal” Ridenour, 81, of Mansfield, passed away early Sunday morning, April 29, 2018 at Crystal Care Center of Mansfield.

He was born Feb. 12, 1937, in Galion, Ohio to the late Lloyd Alvern and Dorothy Mae (Sharrock) Ridenour.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and retired from North Electric where he was a machinist. He also worked as a mechanic and enjoyed working on both cars and trucks. A man who enjoyed being busy, he also owned and operated several bars in Mansfield. Hal was an avid fan of drag racing.

Hal was a happy guy with a great sense of humor and all around good guy. He was always there for anyone who needed him and enjoyed spending time with his family. He enjoyed playing drums and was an avid bowler. 

He is survived by a daughter, Dorothy (Bobby) Buckner, of Charleston, Arkansas; son, Ronald Ray, of Vanceburg, Kentucky; granddaughter, Michelle (DJ) Vaughn, of Charleston, Arkansas; grandson, Aaron (Robin) Buckner, of Muldrow, Oklahoma; and two great-grandchildren, Breyer and Saige Vaughn.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 11 a.m. in Fairview Cemetery, Galion. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is privileged to serve the family.
