Jeffry Lee Owens, 72, of Mansfield, passed away on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital.
He was born on Dec. 29, 1945 in Alliance, Ohio. Jeffry was the son of the late Raymond and Melba (Montague) Owens.
Jeffry was raised in Mansfield, and lived here his whole life. He was employed at Gorman Rupp as a pattern maker and retired after 44 years. He served eight years in the United States Air National Guard. An outdoorsman who had a passion for everything about the outdoors, hunting, fishing, waterskiing, and just enjoying nature. He enjoyed the stock market, traveling to Mexico, archery and bowling. He loved card games, poker, euchre, hearts and bridge.
Jeffry is survived by his sons, Bryan and Bradley Owens; their mother, Bernetta “Bee” Owens; grandchildren, Hunter Owens, Reece Owens; their mother, Cindy Owens; Ava Owens, and Angel Infuso; step children, Kristin and Bill Jones; and brothers, Gary (Susan) Owens and Greg (Debbie) Owens. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Sandy Owens.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2 to 4 p.m., Monday, May 14, 2018 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St.
