AVON, Ohio – Mount Vernon Nazarene freshman Emily Weber, of Loudonville, has claimed the Crossroads League Women’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week Award.

Weber is majoring in Early Childhood Education. In her first year for the program under coach Chip Wilson, Weber has been a solid contributor for the Cougars.

At the Ashland Open, Weber topped the field of 28 competitors, claiming the long jump title with a mark of 5.38 meters or 17’8”.

Weber will next be in action at the Crossroads League Championship at Marian University on May 3 and May 4 in Indianapolis.
