MANSFIELD – Downtown Mansfield’s monthly First Friday Shop Hops will take place Friday, Feb. 2 at 5 p.m.
The event, organized by Downtown Mansfield Incorporated (DMI), encourages shoppers to visit the more than 50 independent businesses that now populate the city center.
To celebrate longtime patrons and welcome new guests, the downtown businesses offer entertainment, host unique events and offer specials during the First Friday Shop Hops.
Some of these specials include:
Main Street Books, 104 N. Main St., will be hosting Chico’s Brother at 6 p.m.
City News, 100 N. Main St., will have live entertainment by Bob Lanzetti (Snarky Puppy, Maz, Michelle Willis) with a guest performance by EDJE from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
The Little Buckeye Children’s Museum, 44 W. 4th St., will be offering half-priced admission from 5 to 8 p.m.
Element of Art, 96 N. Main St., will be providing refreshments from City Garden Café and live music from Brody Jacquin from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
The Richland Carrousel, 75 N. Main St., will offer five rides for $2 as well as macaroni-and-cheese and corn dogs. There will be a special guest, and when the special guest rides the carrousel, everyone rides for free.
The Phoenix Brewing Company, 131 N. Diamond St., will host live music from Just Jazz Trio at 8 p.m.
Downtown Mansfield Incorporated’s mission is to stimulate economic development, improve the appearance and create a positive image of the downtown as a desirable place to work, live, shop and invest.
The First Friday Shop Hop is free and open to the public.
