MANSFIELD — The Mansfield Playhouse has announced the cast for “Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike,” a Tony Award-winning comedy to be produced in March.

Newcomers Sara Labor, Jacob Lewis and Alinea Montroy, all of Mansfield, will join seasoned Playhouse veterans Jeffery Kilgore and Reneé Rebman, of Mansfield, and Johnna Gustafson, of Ashland, in performing the wild comedy by Christopher Durang.

Jeffery Kilgore will play the part of Vanya, who lives with his sister Sonia (Reneé Rebman) in the family home in Pennsylvania. When their fading movie star sister Masha (Johnna Gustafson) shows up with her boy toy actor Spike (Jacob Lewis), long-suppressed battle lines are redrawn. Complicating matters are a prophecy-spouting housekeeper, Cassandra (Alinea Montroy), and an eager young actress (Sara Labor). Emotions and entanglements push everyone to the boiling point.

The show, directed by Mansfield Playhouse artistic director Mark Jordan, will raise curtain on March 9, with subsequent performances on March 10, 16 and 17 at 8 p.m., and March 18 at 2:30 p.m. Tickets and further information are available at the Mansfield Playhouse, 419-522-2883.
