MANSFIELD — The Russell and Mary Gimbel Foundation of Mansfield recently provided a generous grant of $1,500 designated to the Special Wish Program to Hospice of North Central Ohio (HNCO).
Hospice of North Central Ohio has long enjoyed a cordial relationship and benefited from the generous support of Richland County’s charitable foundations. Richland County residents account for approximately 35 percent of HNCO’s patients and families annually.
This grant will have an immediate impact on those patients as the Special Wishes Program, which was established by and is managed through HNCO volunteers, grants wishes and requests of HNCO patients.
Ralph Tomassi, Chief Development Officer at Hospice of North Central Ohio, noted the importance of the community’s generosity.
“The Special Wish Program could not perpetuate without charitable gift support from generous benefactors like the Gimbel Foundation,” Tomassi said. “Our agency is so grateful for this generous donation.”
Hospice of North Central Ohio serves the communities of Ashland, Crawford, Huron, Knox, Richland, and Morrow counties. For more information on end-of-life care, Life’s Seasons Palliative Care, bereavement services, grief counseling, or kids’ summer camps, call 1-800-HOSPICE.
