ONTARIO, Ohio–The Ohio District 5 Area Agency on Aging Foundation and Modern Woodmen of America are hosting a Celebrity Omelet Breakfast on Wednesday, May 20 from 7-10 a.m. at Hawkins Corner to raise funds to raise an American flag over Hawkins Corner, Ontario to honor veterans.
Plans for the fundraiser include an omelet breakfast prepared by local celebrities which features omelets, pancakes, muffins, fruit, coffee and juice.
There will be a free will donation. The money raised will be matched by Modern Woodmen’s home office, up to $2,500, through the fraternal benefit society’s Matching Fund Program and will be used to purchase and install the flag pole.
The Matching Fund Program offers Modem Woodmen members nationwide the chance to show their support for a community cause, organization or individual in need by holding fundraisers.
These fundraising projects contribute $10.8 million to community needs nationwide each year. “With this project, every dollar truly counts,” said Greg Boyce, Financial Representative with Modern Woodmen. “It’s exciting to be involved in a project that is so important to our community.”
Coordinated by local Modern Woodmen members, chapters provide opportunities to take part in social activities and community service projects to meet local needs. Hawkins Corner (Training and Events Center) is located at 2132 Park Ave West, Ontario.
