The Richland County Sheriff’s Office announces the April 7 promotion of Corrections Officer Jeff Fellure to Corrections Sergeant.

MANSFIELD, Ohio – The Richland County Sheriff’s Office recently announced the April 7 promotion of Corrections Officer Jeff Fellure to Corrections Sergeant.

Sgt. Fellure was hired as a corrections officer in 2008 and has served Richland County residents for over seven years. Sgt. Fellure was also one of the first jail K-9 officers employed by the county.

In 2011, Sgt. Fellure became a field training officer and has trained numerous officers currently serving Richland County residents.

Sgt. Fellure is trained in crisis intervention and has received awards during his tenure with the Richland County Sheriff’s Office including an Officer of the Year award and a Lifesaving award.

He has worked all three shifts at the jail, though he primarily worked 3rd shift.

Sgt. Fellure was sworn in as a sergeant on April 7, and will start his supervisor training on 3rd shift later this week.
